To connect Apple CarPlay, first start the car and make sure Siri is active.

If using a cable, connect your iPhone to the CarPlay-labeled USB port in your car or connect your smartphone using a Lightning to USB Apple cable. If using a wireless connection, make sure Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are active on your iPhone and car, then press and hold the voice command button on the car’s steering wheel to start the connection process, according to Apple Support.
How to connect
Start the car engine and make sure Siri is enabled on your iPhone via Settings > General > CarPlay.
Connect your iPhone to the car:
Wired: Plug the Apple Lightning to USB cable from your iPhone into the car’s USB port labeled CarPlay or the smartphone icon.
Wireless: Make sure Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are turned on on your iPhone. Press and hold the voice command button on the steering wheel, and make sure the car stereo system is in wireless or Bluetooth mode.
Automatic Connection:
If you are connecting with a cable for the first time, you will see a warning on your iPhone offering to connect wirelessly next time. If you enable it, the process will be automatic next time.
To connect wirelessly later, go to Settings > Wi-Fi on your iPhone, tap the CarPlay network, then make sure “Auto-Join” is turned on.
If your car only supports wireless CarPlay, follow the instructions on your iPhone screen to connect, such as following the prompts that appear.
If you encounter issues:

- Ensure your iPhone is unlocked and on the Home screen.
- Try using a different cable or USB port.
- Ensure your iPhone and vehicle’s infotainment system are up to date.
- Check your vehicle’s manual for specific instructions.
